Yanga SC Information and Communications Manager Ali Kamwe has revealed that the club has not yet closed its transfer business, confirming that the final signing will be officially unveiled on Sunday during the climax of Wiki ya Mwananchi (Yanga Day).
Kamwe said the final signing is part of a promise made by Yanga SC President Engineer Hersi Said, who during the club's General Assembly revealed that there were plans to complete the signing of a player who had been a long-term target.
Speaking ahead of the highly anticipated Yanga Day event, Kamwe urged supporters to secure their tickets early in order to witness what he described as a historic occasion for the club.
"I want to tell Yanga supporters that if you do not buy your tickets early and wait until Saturday, you might miss this historic event," Kamwe said.
He added that this year's Yanga Day aims to set a new standard in the quality of events organised by the club, while emphasising that fans will have the opportunity to witness the unveiling of the new player.
"It is a major event that will set another standard for Yanga in terms of the quality of its events," he added.
Kamwe said the day will mark the official conclusion of Yanga's transfer activities, with the club set to introduce the player who has already been the subject of much discussion among supporters.
"On that day we are coming with 6/3. We promised that on Sunday Yanga will close its signings. There are people training with our player, taking pictures and videos with him, chatting and communicating with him, but on Sunday they will see him at Uhuru Stadium being unveiled as Yanga Africa's player," he said.
Following the statement, all eyes are now on the climax of Wiki ya Mwananchi, where Yanga are expected to complete their transfer window with the unveiling of their final signing.
"This is our final signing and we are going to complete it," Kamwe insisted.
