NBC Premier League top scorer for the 2025/26 season, Mossi Nduwumwe, has completed his move to Algerian giants MC Alger.
The Burundian striker, who was a key figure in Singida Black Stars' squad, leaves Tanzania after agreeing to a season-long loan deal.
The agreement reportedly includes an option allowing MC Alger to make the transfer permanent for a fee estimated at US$250,000 at the end of the season.
Nduwumwe leaves a lasting impression on Tanzanian football after winning the Golden Boot with 17 league goals.
His arrival in Tanzania surprised many after joining Singida Black Stars during the January 2026 transfer window from Burundi's Flambeau du Centre. Despite arriving midway through the season, he needed only a few months to finish as the league's top scorer.
His outstanding performances also earned him the NBC Premier League Player of the Month award for both May and June 2026.
Singida Black Stars management confirmed that Nduwumwe's departure is part of the club's strategy of helping its players secure opportunities abroad, while preparations are already underway to find a replacement before the new season begins.
