Simba have completed the signing of striker Suleiman Mwalimu from Moroccan club Wydad Athletic Club, with his return to Tanzania expected to be one of the biggest pieces of news for the club's supporters.
Simba initially attempted to sign Mwalimu on loan, but after that arrangement failed to materialize, the club's management returned to Morocco with the aim of completing a permanent transfer.
The two parties eventually reached an agreement that allowed Simba to sign the striker, who has now returned to Tanzania to join the Simba squad and resume his duties with the club.
Simba officially unveiled Mwalimu during the Simba Day festival held today, Saturday, at Uhuru Stadium.
Mwalimu's return is expected to increase competition and add strength to Simba's attacking department.
His presence will give Simba head coach Steve Barker another important option when selecting his squad, particularly in a season when the club needs a competitive team capable of challenging across multiple competitions.
