Simba SC Board Chairman Crescentius Magoli has revealed that the club had already completed the signing of Selemani Mwalimu on loan before the player's side changed its position and agreement with Simba.
Magoli made the revelation today after arriving in Zanzibar, where Simba are set to face arch-rivals Yanga SC in the Community Shield tomorrow.
The chairman's comments come after Mwalimu ultimately joined Yanga on loan from Wydad Casablanca, despite having been unveiled by Simba during their Simba Day celebrations on August 8.
Following the unexpected turn of events, Magoli urged Simba supporters and stakeholders to remain calm, while hinting that the club is preparing to make a major announcement or move in the near future.
The statement is expected to further fuel interest among Simba fans, who are now waiting to see the club's response after losing the highly anticipated signing to their biggest rivals.
