Simba SC have reached an agreement with Mashujaa FC over the transfer of striker Ismail Mgunda, who is expected to arrive in Dar es Salaam today to complete the final steps of his move to the Wekundu wa Msimbazi.
Mgunda is expected to be one of the new players strengthening Simba’s attacking department after the club reached an agreement with Mashujaa FC over the striker’s transfer.
Reports indicate that Mgunda took part in his final training session with Mashujaa FC yesterday before being given permission by the club to travel to Dar es Salaam today to complete his transfer.
The striker was part of the Mashujaa FC squad that held its pre-season camp in Tanga, where he participated fully in the team’s preparations for the new season.
After arriving in Dar es Salaam, Mgunda is expected to complete the final registration formalities before awaiting his official unveiling by Simba.
According to reports, the striker is expected to join the Simba squad after today’s Community Shield clash against Yanga at the New Amaan Complex Stadium in Zanzibar.
Mgunda’s signing is seen as a replacement for striker Suleiman Mwalimu, who surprised Simba yesterday by joining their traditional rivals Yanga.
