Simba SC’s Head of Information and Communications, Ahmed Ally, has urged Simba supporters not to lose hope after their team suffered a 1-0 defeat against Yanga SC in the Community Shield final.
Ally said the result should not discourage the fans, explaining that in football, a team can dominate and create chances but fail to convert them, while the opponent may take advantage of one opportunity and secure victory.
He acknowledged that the attacking department needs improvement, particularly in terms of converting chances and scoring goals. However, he emphasized that the season is still long, with Simba having 30 Mainland Tanzania Premier League matches ahead, meaning one defeat does not determine the team's entire season.
Looking ahead, Ahmed Ally urged Simba supporters to put the Community Shield result behind them and focus on the opening league match against Kagera Sugar. He stressed that Simba must learn from the mistakes made in the match and start afresh in their pursuit of success during the 2026/27 season.
