Simba SC have failed to complete the signing of striker Paul Peter Kasunda from JKT Tanzania, it has been reported.
According to reports, JKT Tanzania wanted Simba to complete the transfer by 6:00 p.m., giving the army side enough time to find a replacement for the striker.
However, reports indicate that Simba contacted JKT Tanzania at 10:00 p.m., by which time the club had already halted the transfer due to the limited time available to sign a replacement.
Sources within Simba’s management have indicated that disagreements emerged within the club’s leadership, with some officials opposing the signing of the striker, particularly after Simba signed Ismail Mgunda.
There were also proposals to sign a foreign striker or a defensive midfielder, but neither option was ultimately pursued.
Simba have now closed their transfer business after adding Mgunda and defender Ibrahim Nindi to their squad. Their plans to sign Feisal Salum, popularly known as “Fei Toto,” also failed to materialise.
