Simba SC midfielder Ibraheem Jabaar has admitted his mistake after being shown a red card in the 44th minute during their match against Pamba Jiji, which Simba won 2-1.
Jabaar was sent off before half-time, forcing Simba to play the entire second half with 10 men.
Speaking about the incident, Jabaar accepted responsibility without making excuses, saying: “There is no excuse. I take full responsibility,” while making a prayer gesture.
Despite playing a large part of the match with a numerical disadvantage, Simba managed to hold on to their lead until the final whistle and secure all three points.
The victory takes Simba to six points from their opening two matches of the 2026/27 season, moving them to the top of the Tanzania Mainland Premier League table.
