Chelsea extended their lead shortly after the restart, with Palmer making it 3-1 in the 49th minute. Fulham refused to give up and reduced the deficit five minutes later through Gonzalo García, setting up a tense final period.
Despite Fulham pushing for an equaliser, Chelsea managed to hold on until the final whistle and secure a 3-2 victory.
