Liverpool have entered the race to sign Crystal Palace winger Ismaïla Sarr after opening talks with the club over a potential transfer for the Senegalese forward.
The move comes after Liverpool ended their pursuit of Yankuba Minteh from Brighton, with the overall cost of that deal reportedly considered too high. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have submitted an initial offer of £50 million for Sarr.
Crystal Palace, however, are reportedly demanding £50 million before allowing the player to leave. The 28-year-old enjoyed an impressive campaign last season, scoring 21 goals and playing an important role in Palace’s European campaign and Community Shield triumph.
Sarr is reportedly open to joining Liverpool, although the Reds face competition from Galatasaray, who have also expressed interest in signing the winger.
