Simba head coach Steve Barker says his squad is ready for their Premier League clash against Geita Gold despite being without several players due to injury concerns.
Simba will take to the field at Major General Isamuhyo Stadium tomorrow, Monday, determined to secure victory against Geita Gold and claim three important points.
Speaking at a press conference today ahead of the match, Barker said the team has made good preparations with the available players and believes they have a strong chance of securing victory.
“We have made good preparations with the players available, and we are ready for tomorrow's match against Geita Gold,” Barker said.
The coach said they know Geita Gold well and expect a strong challenge because of the quality of their players and coaching staff.
“We know we are going to face a difficult team with quality players individually, and they also have a good coach,” he added.
Barker said the time they have had to prepare has helped put the squad in good shape, and they now believe they can make the most of their home advantage.
“We have had a good amount of time to prepare, and I believe we have a good opportunity to get all three points at home tomorrow,” Barker said.
Simba Continue to Deal With Injuries
Simba will continue to be without Yusuph Kagoma and Nickson Kibabage, who are still recovering from injuries.
However, there is positive news for the squad, with Ibrahim Jabaar expected to return and be part of the team's plans for the match.
Geita Gold coach Zubri Katwila, meanwhile, has insisted that despite their opponents' quality and experience, his team is ready to face Simba in what is expected to be a highly competitive encounter.
Geita Gold have made a solid start to the season, collecting seven points from four matches. They have won two games, drawn one and lost one.
