Simba SC head coach Steve Barker has expressed his dissatisfaction with the playing surface at Meja Jenerali Isamuhyo Stadium, saying the pitch has become a major challenge for his team in creating and scoring more goals.
Barker made the remarks after Simba secured a 2-0 victory over Geita Gold yesterday, with attacking midfielders Clatous Chama and Libasse Gueye scoring the goals to seal all three points for the Reds.
Simba recently announced Isamuhyo Stadium as their home ground and have already played two matches there. However, the team has managed to score only three goals across those two games.
Barker believes the condition of the pitch is affecting Simba’s ability to play their preferred style of football and create more goalscoring opportunities.
