The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has announced the provisional squad for the national team, Taifa Stars, ahead of their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Guinea-Bissau and Madagascar, as well as a friendly match against Ghana.
The squad, selected by head coach Miguel Ángel Gamondi, includes five goalkeepers, among them Zuberi Foba and Azam FC’s Aishi Manula. In defence, the squad features Yanga SC’s Ibrahim Bacca and Bakari Mwamnyeto, alongside Simba SC defenders Vedastus Masinde and Bakari Msimu.
The midfield department includes players based outside Tanzania, including Adolph Mtasingwa of Kaizer Chiefs, Mohamed Sagaf of Eastbourne Borough and Alphonce Mabula of JS Kabylie, alongside players from domestic clubs.
In attack, the squad is completed by the likes of Bernard Kamungo, Kelvin John, Kibu Dennis and Cyprian Kachwele, while Selemani Mwalimu and Paul Peter represent the domestic league.
