The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has expressed confidence that all four Tanzanian clubs participating in CAF competitions during the 2026/27 season will successfully qualify for the group stage, after Yanga SC, Simba SC and Singida Black Stars made positive starts to their continental campaigns.
Yanga and Simba are representing Tanzania in the CAF Champions League, while Azam FC and Singida Black Stars are competing in the CAF Confederation Cup. TFF has praised the progress made by the clubs in the preliminary rounds, with Azam FC among the teams that have been given a bye to start their campaign in the second round.
Speaking about the progress, TFF Head of Information and Communications Cliford Ndimbo said the clubs’ success in CAF competitions is important for Tanzania because it brings benefits through improved club and national-team standards, as well as financial and commercial opportunities.
