After completing its assignment against Azam FC, Simba SC has officially shifted its focus to the other side of Dar es Salaam, sending a strong message to Yanga SC ahead of the Kariakoo Derby.
In a post shared by the club, Simba used an image featuring martial arts movie star Bolo Yeung wearing a Simba jersey, accompanied by a short but powerful message: “YOUR NEXT: YANGA.”
The message has sparked excitement ahead of the Kariakoo Derby, appearing to signal that after Simba completed its duties against Azam, Yanga is next on its list of opponents.
Simba enters this stage after securing a 2-0 victory over Azam FC in the Mzizima Derby, a result that has boosted morale within the squad and maintained its strong run in domestic competitions.
Attention has now shifted to the Kariakoo Derby, a match in which both sides understand the weight of the history, pride and fierce rivalry surrounding the fixture between Simba and Yanga.
By using the image of Bolo Yeung, who is widely known for his roles in martial arts films, Simba chose to let the picture do the talking rather than use many words.
“Your Next: Yanga” was the message, clearly identifying the next opponent on Mnyama’s radar.
On the squad front, the victory over Azam has given Simba an opportunity to build confidence ahead of the clash with Yanga.
The coaching staff is now turning its attention to preparations for the derby, with the players expected to enter the match with increased morale after overcoming the Chamazi challenge.
