Tanzanian referee Ahmed Ally Arajiga has been appointed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to officiate the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group H qualifier between Botswana and Tunisia, scheduled for Monday, September 28, 2026.
Arajiga will lead a Tanzanian refereeing team for the match, assisted by Hamdani Said Ally and Ally Ramadhani Rajabu, while Nasir Salum Siyah has been appointed as the fourth official.
The match is part of the second round of the 2027 AFCON qualifiers. According to the CAF schedule, Botswana and Tunisia are set to meet on September 28 in Group H, although later reports from Tunisia indicate that the fixture has been moved to Radès.
The appointment adds to Arajiga’s growing responsibilities on the international stage, with the Tanzanian referee continuing to receive opportunities to officiate matches at continental level. His recent record includes officiating international fixtures, including African World Cup qualifiers.
