Simba SC have reportedly begun preliminary talks with Senegalese international striker Libasse Gueye over a possible contract extension, according to sources within the club.
Gueye joined Simba in January 2026 from Senegalese side Teungueth FC. Transfer records indicate that he signed a contract keeping him at Simba until 2028, with the forward becoming one of the players relied upon in the Reds of simba squad.
Since his arrival, Gueye has regularly featured for Simba and has been involved in several goalscoring moments, including goals against Fountain Gate and KMC, while also providing assists in some matches.
According to the internal source, Simba want to start the discussions early rather than wait until the final stages of Gueye’s current contract. However, neither Simba SC nor the player’s representatives have officially confirmed that an agreement over a new contract has been reached.
