The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has made changes to the leadership of its secretariat, appointing Evans Mgeusa as the federation’s new Secretary General.
The appointment was made by the TFF Executive Committee during a meeting held in Dar es Salaam under the leadership of TFF President Wallace Karia.
Mgeusa takes over the position from Oscar Mirambo, who had been serving as acting Secretary General and has now been assigned a new role within the federation.
Before his appointment, Mgeusa was Chairman of the Njombe Regional Football Association (NIOREFA). In his new role, he will oversee the day-to-day operations of the TFF secretariat.
Mirambo Given New Role
As part of the leadership changes, Oscar Mirambo has been appointed Deputy Secretary General and Director of Football Development.
Meanwhile, Mustapha Yusuph has been appointed the new Director of Finance as part of the reallocation of responsibilities within the TFF secretariat.
TFF Splits Legal, Information and Marketing Directorate
TFF has also restructured some of its directorates, including splitting the Legal, Information and Marketing Directorate into three separate directorates.
Under the changes:
Hassan Njama has been appointed Director of Commercial and Marketing.
Boniface Wambura has been appointed Director of Legal Affairs.
Cliford Ndimbo has been appointed Director of Information and Communications.
The changes further divide responsibilities within the TFF secretariat, with Evans Mgeusa now officially taking charge of the federation’s day-to-day operations.
