Simba SC return to action on Tuesday against Mashujaa FC in the NBC Mainland Premier League, fresh from a 2-1 victory over their traditional rivals, Yanga SC.
The Kariakoo Derby was played two days ago at Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam, where Simba secured an important victory and continued their impressive run in the league this season.
Following that win, the Msimbazi Reds have now shifted their focus to their upcoming clash against Mashujaa FC, which is scheduled to take place at Isamuhyo Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
Simba head coach Steve Barker has made it clear that his players have put the celebrations following their victory over Yanga behind them and are now fully focused on preparing for their next match.
Barker is aiming to maintain his 100 per cent winning record in the league this season, with Simba having won all seven of their opening matches and collected 21 points to sit at the top of the standings.
Simba Shift Focus to the CAF Champions League
After completing their match against Mashujaa FC, Simba will turn their attention to the CAF Champions League, where they are aiming to qualify for the group stage.
The Msimbazi Reds will begin that campaign with an away fixture against Equatorial Guinea’s 15 de Agosto on October 17 or 18 before returning to Dar es Salaam for the second leg.
