Simba SC chairman Murtaza Mangungu has described the club’s recently announced election process as invalid and illegal, adding weight to the ongoing debate over the future of leadership at the Msimbazi-based club.
Mangungu said the current leadership is in discussions with the government to determine the best way to handle the proposed changes within the club. He insisted that they would not allow anyone to disrupt the process midway.
“The process that has been announced is invalid and illegal. We are consulting with the government to find the best way to handle these changes and investment matters until the process is completed. We do not want anyone to destabilise us halfway through,” Mangungu said.
He made the remarks on Thursday during a press conference held at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Dar es Salaam, as questions continue to emerge over Simba SC’s election process and proposed changes to the club’s leadership and investment structure.
