The two legs of the CAF Champions League preliminary round have been completed, with Yanga advancing to the first round after a 3-2 aggregate victory over Gaborone United.
What pleased Yanga supporters most was seeing all three of their strikers play a role in helping the team secure qualification for the first round.
Seleman Mwalimu scored Yanga’s late equaliser in the first leg played in Botswana, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Peter Shalulile put Yanga ahead in the second leg at Azam Complex by finishing a pass from Mwalimu, before Cheick Ibrahim Toure added the second goal in the second half.
Mwalimu might have scored again in that match, but his assist proved equally important.
So far, Yanga’s strikers have been directly involved in seven goals across all competitions.
Shalulile leads the way with four goals, including three in the league, while Toure has scored two, one of them in the league, and Mwalimu has scored one in the CAF Champions League.
