Yanga continued their strong start to the NBC Premier League season yesterday with a 1-0 victory over Geita Gold at KMC Complex.
In the match, Yanga fans witnessed the return of forward Clement Mzize, who came back into the squad after spending nearly seven months on the sidelines.
Speaking after the match, Yanga head coach Manqoba Mngqithi said he was pleased with the performance shown by the forward, making it clear that Mzize is one of his important players this season.
Manqoba said that if the forward regains full fitness quickly, he will undoubtedly be a major asset for Yanga this season.
"Mzize played very well, despite returning after spending nearly seven months out. He is one of the important players in our plans this season, and I hope he continues to stay fit," said Manqoba.

Mngqithi also revealed that defender Dickson Job is nearing a return to action, while stressing the importance of having a complete squad with all players in good physical condition.
Meanwhile, Manqoba defended his decision to rotate the squad, stressing the importance of giving players who have featured heavily some rest in order to protect them from potential injury problems.
In the match, Mngqithi did not use Yao Kouassi, Chadrack Boka, Bakari Mwamnyeto, Albert Kangwanda or Peter Shalulile, who was reported to have suffered a hip injury in the previous CAF Champions League match.
