Yanga winger Housseine Zakouani has officially been included in the Comoros national team, the Coelacanths, squad announced by head coach Hubert Velud for the 2027 AFCON qualifying campaign.
Zakouani is among 24 players called up to represent the country in two major international matches scheduled to take place later this month.
Comoros will host African football giants Cameroon on September 24 before travelling to face Namibia in a match scheduled for September 29.
Zakouani’s call-up comes as he has started to make an impact in the Yanga squad after joining the club in the previous transfer window from Saudi Arabian side Al-Zulfi.
On September 29, Zakouani will come face-to-face with Namibia’s key forward and fellow Yanga player Peter Shalulile in a battle between the two Yanga stars.
