Tanzania’s Taifa Stars suffered a 2-0 defeat to Guinea-Bissau in an international match, with their opponents making the most of their chances to secure victory.
Guinea-Bissau opened the scoring in the 33rd minute through Franculino Djú, who finished after receiving the final pass from Beto, sending his side into the break with a 1-0 lead.
In the 58th minute, Mama Baldé doubled Guinea-Bissau’s lead after receiving a pass from Dalcio, leaving Tanzania facing an uphill battle to get back into the game.
Taifa Stars were unable to find a consolation goal before the final whistle, as Guinea-Bissau completed a 2-0 victory.
Taifa Stars will now turn their attention to their next match against Madagascar, scheduled for September 29, 2026, at Stade d’Honneur in Meknes, Morocco.
