The NBC Premier League clash between Simba and Yanga is expected to be played on October 10 at Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam, it has been learned.
Although the home side, Simba, did not initially announce the venue they had selected for the match, it has now emerged that Uhuru Stadium will host the highly anticipated encounter.
There was also a possibility of the match being played at New Amaan Complex had Simba chosen the recently renovated and reopened venue.
Yanga are continuing their preparations for the fixture, with the club’s Information and Communications Manager, Ali Kamwe, saying they will be ready to play at any stadium selected by their opponents.
This will be the second Kariakoo Derby of the season after the two sides met in the Community Shield, where Yanga secured a 1-0 victory.
Yanga will enter the match with a strong league record against their traditional rivals, having won six and drawn two of their last eight league meetings.
