After a lengthy absence, Yanga fans could get a chance to see the club’s defender and vice-captain, Dickson Job, back in action, even if only for a few minutes, in their upcoming CAF Champions League first-leg match against Madagascar’s CFFA as they battle for a place in the group stage.
Job returned to the squad several weeks ago but has continued to follow a fitness recovery programme before being cleared to feature in competitive matches.
He is now training fully with the team, a positive sign of his return to the fold.
Yanga supporters are eager to see Job back in the lineup to strengthen the defence, which appeared shaky in the previous match against Simba.
During Job’s absence, captain Bakari Nondo Mwamnyeto and Ibrahim Bacca have remained key figures in defence, while Oumar Komara has occasionally been selected in place of Mwamnyeto.
Job and striker Clement Mzize were both sidelined for an extended period. However, Mzize has already returned to competitive action, coming on in the second half of the recent match against Simba.
