With just one match remaining to complete the first-leg fixtures of the second qualifying round for the CAF Champions League (CAFCL) group stage, Yanga have so far set the pace as the highest-scoring team in the round.
Their 4-0 victory over CFFA has not only put Yanga in a strong position to reach the group stage, but the four goals scored by the Wananchi have also placed them at the top of the scoring charts among teams competing in this round.
There have also been some surprising results, further demonstrating how African football is changing, with teams previously considered underdogs putting in impressive performances.
Among those results was a goalless draw between Angola's Wiliete SC and defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
It is worth recalling that Wiliete SC faced Yanga last season, losing 3-0 in Angola before suffering a 2-0 defeat in the return leg in Dar es Salaam.
Zimbabwe's Scotland FC also stunned Petro de Luanda, the team featuring former Yanga striker Laurindo Aurelio, popularly known as 'Depu', with a 2-0 victory.
