Yanga fans who see the picture above will undoubtedly remember Adnan Behlulovic, who served as the club’s fitness coach when Yanga were under the guidance of head coach Sead Ramovic.
The truth is that some of Yanga’s best moments in recent seasons came during Ramovic’s tenure, when Wananchi enjoyed their football. He was later followed by Miloud Hamdi, whose name is still frequently mentioned by Yanga supporters.
Yanga are currently in the market for a head coach and a fitness coach after announcing yesterday that they had parted ways with Manqoba Mngqithi and Chyna Mokaila.
For the fitness coach position, many fans are eager to see Adnan return to the club once again.
Adnan was instrumental in making Ramovic’s Yanga side perform impressively during his relatively short spell, thanks to the players’ physical capabilities. The team played at a high tempo, with the players displaying excellent physical fitness.
The team’s “Pass, Release and Go Home” style of football was made possible by Adnan’s expertise in preparing the players physically.
Yanga’s management has promised to announce a new head coach soon, while reports indicate that talks are underway to bring back Ramovic, who has been without a club since parting ways with CR Belouizdad.
In a post on his social media account, Adnan shared a brief message accompanied by two pictures taken during his time at Yanga. Perhaps he, too, is simply waiting for a call to return to Jangwani.
Yanga need to appoint a coach who already understands Tanzanian football and will not require much time to get the team in shape, because, realistically, time is not on their side.
