Yanga SC's international striker Peter Shalulile has continued his impressive goalscoring form, playing a key role in the club's domestic and continental campaigns this season.
The Namibia international has scored six goals in the NBC Mainland Premier League and one in the CAF Champions League, meaning he has been directly involved in seven of the team's goals.
Shalulile's scoring form has continued to entertain supporters of the defending champions. In the NBC Mainland Premier League, he has found the net against Namungo FC, JKT Tanzania, Fountain Gate, Simba SC, Mashujaa SC and Kagera Sugar.
His six league goals have placed him second in the top scorers' chart, just one behind Fountain Gate striker Anuary Jabir, who has scored seven.
As if that were not enough, Shalulile has also demonstrated his quality on the continental stage by opening his Yanga scoring account in the CAF Champions League with an important goal against Gaborone United.
That goal took Yanga's all-time tally in the prestigious African club competition to 21. The club's total has now risen to 29 goals.
When Yanga signed him from Mamelodi Sundowns, some critics questioned the move, believing that his best years were behind him.
However, since joining Wananchi, Shalulile appears to have rediscovered his best form. In his final season with Mamelodi Sundowns, he scored only three goals.
Provided he avoids injury problems, Shalulile is tipped to finish the season among the league's leading scorers and could even emerge as the Golden Boot winner.
