The President of Yanga Engineer Hersi Said has thanked the President of the United Republic of Tanzania Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan for continuing to provide motivation to Yanga and Simba to ensure that they perform well in the CAF competitions they are participating in.
Today Yanga was awarded Tsh 5 million after returning from Mali where they played against Real Bamako in a game that ended in a 1-1 draw
The President of the country, Dr. Samia, gives a motivation of Tsh 5 million for every goal that is scored in the Champions League and the Confederation Cup
Engineer Hersi has said that the motivation has increased the morale of the team stressing that they do not expect to give up anything
"This is a good sign for us and for the players to fight for the team and get money that is a motivation for them"
"The result of a draw was not our plan, we wanted three points, we have forgotten, our focus is on next match on March 8th, in which the players have promised to get a win, including scoring a large number of goals that will make the President Dr Samia give more money," said Hersi
Yanga has scored four goals in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup and thus collected a total of Tsh 20 Million while Simba have scored one goal which earned them Tsh 5 Million
