Yanga has qualified to the quarter-finals of the Azam Confederation Cup (ASFC) after a 4-1 victory against Tanzania Prisons in a game played at the Azam Complex
It was a game dominated by Yanga for most of the time but until the break there were no goals from either side despite Yanga making more attempts
However, Yanga came back with more agency in the second half, it was captain Bakari Nondo Mwamnyeto who put Yanga ahead with an early goal in the second half before Jumanne Elifadhili equalized for Prisons through a header
The entry of that goal made Yanga increase the speed of their attacks and managed to score three goals through Clement Mzize who scored two goals together with Stephane Aziz Ki who scored through a penalty kick
Mzize would have walked away with the ball today if he had scored a penalty kick in injury time
Mzize leads the race for the golden boot in the competition with six goals
The game was witnessed by the Chairman of GSM Companies, Ghalib Said Mohammed
