The government pays for 55 to support Yanga in South Africa

The Government, through the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Sports, in a spirited effort to continue supporting sports in the country, especially in international competitions, has paid for a total of 55 fans who will travel to South Africa to cheer on the Yanga club

It is in the second game of the semifinals of the CAF Confederation Cup against Marumo Gallants, which will be played on May 17, 2023 at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg in the country

This was stated by the Secretary General of the Ministry, Saidi Yakubu when he was speaking to the media yesterday May 13, at the Benjamin Mkapa stadium in Dar es Salaam

Yakubu said the motivational procession will be led by the Deputy Minister of Culture, Arts and Sports Mr. Hamis Mwinjuma

"On this trip, the Government has helped Yanga to send some 55 fans who will leave tomorrow (today), Sunday, May 14, 2023, to South Africa and there they will join with Tanzanians living in South Africa to ensure that they give enough enthusiasm"

"I have spoken to the Ambassador, they are also prepared to receive them but they have also prepared buses from every city to ensure that there are many Tanzanians in the game," said Yakubu.

On his part, the Chief Executive of the Yanga club, Andrew Ntime said that they as a team are well prepared to ensure that they get good results in the game while thanking the government for its contribution in sending the fans

The Yanga delegation has left the country this Sunday morning for South Africa for the game that will be played on Wednesday
