Simba Sc has returned to Tanzania tonight from Ivory Coast where they managed to get one important point in the Champions League game against Asec Mimosas which ended in a draw.
Speaking shortly after the team landed at JNIA, Simba's Assistant Coach, Suleiman Matola said their minds and calculations are focused on the March 2 game against Jwaneng Galaxy
Simba need to win this game to make it to their fifth quarter-final in six years
"We needed to win the game against Asec but I can say we were unlucky but the boys fought I think you all saw" said Matola and added,
"We are going to prepare for our last game, which for us is like a final, there are two things in the match against Jwaneng Galaxy to find a victory that will take us to the quarter-finals and take revenge"
"This will not be an ordinary match but a final for us to ensure we reach our goals of going to the quarter-finals," said Matola.
Simba will not be ready to repeat the mistakes of the 2020/2021 season by losing at home against Jwaneng Galaxy and missing the chance to advance to the group stage of the Champions League and instead falling in the Confederation Cup where they managed to reach the quarter finals
Simba will need a win of any kind to reach the quarter-finals regardless of the outcome of the game between Wydad and Asec
