KMC Club has claimed that they does not recognize the change in the field of the Premier League game against Simba which will be played at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium on Saturday May 25 2024
The spokesperson of the club, Khalid Chukuchuku, said that according to the league rules, the notice of the change of the field should have been given seven days before the game in question
Chukuchuku has said that KMC was informed last Saturday that the game between him and Simba will be played at Major Jen's stadium. Therefore, they do not recognize the change because it is outside the time specified in the rule
"If you read the regulations, they tell you that the notice of the change of the stadium must be given 7 days before the game, last Saturday we were informed that the game will be played at Major General Isamuhyo Stadium"
"There are three days left before the game, we see information that there is a change of field, the rules have been broken, we are preparing to play our game in Isamuhyo field"
"If you say that in Dar es Salaam that day the stadiums will be full, it is a lie. On Saturday, the Isamuhyo stadium will not be used because JKT Tanzania will be in Tanga against Coastal Union. We must adhere to the established rules," said Khalid.
Simba Club has confirmed that the change has been approved by the League Board and therefore the preparations for the game are ongoing and will be played at the Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium
