The government has allowed Yanga to build its modern stadium in the Jangwani area where the club's headquarters are located, Jangwani in Dar es Salaam
The Minister of State for the Office of the President for Regional Administration and Local Government (Tamisemi), Mohamed Mchengerwa has noted this today at the Annual General Meeting of Yanga
Mr Mchengelwa said that Yanga has been given a specific time to complete the construction of the stadium and that if it fails it will be confiscated
"We have given them time to work on what we have told them on the field, but if you fail we will confiscate them, we have given them a measure, so consider that it is in line with the plan of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu, to make the city of Dar es Salaam a modern," he said
Besides Yanga, Tamisemi said in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Sports and BMT, they will choose the best players who will be developing children's talents
"I have been told that the Acting Director of the Sports Council in the country, Ally Mayay and Edibily Lunyamila are the product of UMITASHUMTA and UMISETA, that is why under President Samia he is investing in sports in schools"
"I thank the president of Yanga, Injia Hersi Said for running a very successful club, including investment and registration of good players and bringing stability to Yanga, I remember several years ago before the leadership of Engineer Hersi, we did a great job with I was part of that change, that stability has brought great success under Engineer and now Yanga is doing well in the domestic to international league," he said
