Dabo explain the reason for the narrow victory at home in CAF CL

The coach of Azam Fc, Youssouph Dabo, has said that they did not get a big win at home because his players seemed to play under pressure to score goals early and when they failed to do so, they were out of the game and failed to follow his instructions

The Senegalese citizen said this after his team won 1-0 at home against APR of Rwanda in the preliminary stage game of the African Champions League, played at the Azam Complex Stadium, Chamazi, Dar es Salaam. the other day

With the narrow victory, the coach said he hopes his team will move forward and reach the first round of the tournament

"I think the players were scared, if they wanted to score quick goals in the first minutes, but as time went on they didn't get them, they were under pressure and unable to play according to the instructions"

At the break I told them not to rush because this is the first match, of the second leg we will play in Rwanda, so keep calm, they will get a chance to score and even if they don't do that today (the other day), even in the second leg match they can score as well," said Dabo

Azam got the victory with a goal scored by Colombian striker Jhonier Blanco in the 56th minute with a penalty kick, after Feisal Salum was brought down in the danger zone

"I have deleted APR is a team that does not allow goals easily, its defenders are good, so we have to plan well in the return match"

"We are going to play in Rwanda, we are sure to win because we have a good team that can also win away," said the coach
