Toward the group draw that will be held on October 07 in Egypt, Yanga will be the second pot along with Raja CA, Pyramids and CR Belouizdad. These teams will not compete with Yanga in the group stage. Citizens will be drawn against teams from pots 1, 3 and 4
Pot 1 has Al Ahly, Esperance, Mamelodi Sundowns and TP MazembePot 3 has Al Hilal, Orlando Pirates, Sagrada Esperanca and AS Far Rabat
Pot 4 has MC Alger, Djoliba, Stade De Abdijan and Maniema Union
