Yanga goalkeeper Djigui Diarra has said that the Premier League game against Simba played last Saturday at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium is one of the memorable matches of his football career in Tanzania
Yanga emerged with a 1-0 victory in the game in which Diarra has revealed that he got off the Julius Nyerere International Airport and went straight to the Benjamin Mkapa stadium to play the game
"I'm very grateful we were able to win, in fact this remains my best match," said Diarra
Diarra has thanked the President of Yanga for making sure he does everything possible to attend the game when he has left the duties of the Mali national team
"The President created a good travel environment for me, I was not tired because I got a Business Class ticket"
"When I landed at the airport, he sent someone to follow me so that I could go directly to the field. If there was a day when I imagined victory, then it was that day," added Diarra Talking about saving Yanga from conceding an early goal in the game against Simba, Diarra said he has been following Simba in their matches so he was aware of striker Lionel Ateba's decisions "I always watch Simba's matches, so I know them. I saw him (Ateba) playing, I knew what he would do when he got the ball in that area, I knew he would go to the left and I had no pressure" "When I saved, I didn't leave the area and I stopped because I knew the opponent was going to hit and I saved again," said Diarra
