Yanga Head Coach, Miguel Gamondi, has complained about the Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha, saying it is not of the highest quality, while saying that the only three stadiums that carry the image of Tanzanian football are that of Benjamin Mkapa, Azam Complex, which are all there. Dar es Salaam and New Amaan Complex, Zanzibar
Speaking after the end of the Tanzania Mainland Premier League game between his team and Coastal Union, emerging with a 1-0 victory scored by Jean Baleke, Gamondi said, some stadiums are so bad that they cause teams to play football to highlight something that is not a good image for the Tanzanian League
"These three points are very important for us in the continuation of fighting for the championship, but I am not happy with the state of the field, as well as some of the decisions of the referee"
"For big players and the best league, you can't play football on a field like this, it wasn't bad for us, even Coastal Union were hitting long balls, they tried like two or three times from the ball back but failed and started to stumble and this is not a good picture for the Tanzania League"
"for me, Azam Copmlex Stadium, New Amaan Zanzibar and Benjamin Mkapa, are the ones that carry the good image of the local league," said the coach
After the victory, Yanga is heading to Zanzibar for another game against Singida Black Stars which will be played on Wednesday October 30 at the New Amaan Complex
