Members of the General Meeting of the Council of Football Associations for East and Central African Countries (CECAFA), have approved the president of the council, Wallace Karia, to be the only candidate for the position of the Executive Committee of the Football Federation Africa (CAF)
The CAF General Election is expected to take place in March, this year in Morocco. Karia, who is the President of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), was hoping to compete with the President of the Uganda Football Federation (FUFA), Moses Magogo. CAF and now the President of the Tanzania Football Federation, Wallace Karia will be the only candidate for that position. This means that Karia has already passed that position," our source said
Karia has also been confirmed as the only candidate for the position of President in the next TFF election, which will be held later this year
The members of the General Meeting of TFF, resolved this in the annual meeting held on December 21, last year in Kilimanjaro region
CECAFA also has announced its support for the President of the Djibouti Football Federation, Souleiman Waberi, to compete for the position of the FIFA Executive Committee delegation, which will also hold its elections later this year. Waberi, a former international referee, is currently CAF's Third Vice President
