Fadlu wants another striker at Msimbazi

Simba SC head coach, Fadlu Davids, has officially begun the process of strengthening his attacking line for the upcoming season by naming Singida Black Stars' prolific striker, Jonathan Sowah, as his number one target.

Reliable sources reveal that Sowah’s name has already been presented to the club’s Honorary President, billionaire Mohammed Dewji, with the aim of facilitating his signing.

This move marks the beginning of an intense race to secure Sowah's signature, a player who has showcased top-level performance this season, scoring 11 goals in 12 matches in the Tanzanian Premier League, in addition to more goals in the FA Cup.

His ability to combine strength, intelligence, and positioning with remarkable skill has made him one of the most closely watched strikers in the league.

Just recently, Sowah scored one of the goals that led Singida BS to eliminate Simba from the CRDB Cup, with a 3-1 victory at Tanzanite Kwaraa Stadium.

Despite the current strikers in the squad — Leonel Ateba and Steven Mukwala — scoring a combined 24 goals this season, Fadlu believes the team still needs a different type of forward who can bring strong competition and raise the overall standard of the attacking force.

Sowah appears to be the perfect solution for Fadlu’s tactical needs, particularly considering his system relies heavily on fast-paced attacking play and high pressing to force opponents into making mistakes.

Talks Already Underway

Following back-to-back matches between Simba and Singida BS, Fadlu was seen speaking with Sowah in Dar es Salaam, and again after the second CRDB Cup match played in Manyara.

These conversations have been interpreted as a clear sign that Fadlu is eager to see Sowah join the Msimbazi side.

Sowah himself has stated that he is open to playing for any team in the country and is willing to wait and see if an official offer will be presented.
