Simba attacking midfielder Jean Charles Ahoua has set a new record with the Msimbazi Reds after scoring a goal and providing an assist in their 5-0 demolition of KenGold in a Premier League match played yesterday at the Ali Hassan Mwinyi Stadium in Tabora.
He continues to lead the Golden Boot race, now with 16 goals, along with 9 assists to his name.
In total, Ahoua has been directly involved in 25 goals scored by Simba this season.
He has broken Clatous Chama's record from the 2020/21 season, when Chama was involved in 24 goals — scoring 10 and assisting 14.
It’s worth noting that this is Ahoua's first season at Simba, and signs strongly suggest he is on course to become both the league’s top scorer and the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the season.
