In the return leg played at the Tanzanite Kwaraa Stadium in Manyara, Fountain Gate displayed clear intent to remain in the top-flight by clinching a 2-0 victory.
This result sealed the 5-1 aggregate scoreline, following their 3-1 win in the first leg held in Shinyanga.
With this outcome, Fountain Gate will remain in the Premier League for the upcoming 2025/26 season, confirming their place among the top football clubs in mainland Tanzania.
On the other hand, Stand United’s dream of returning to the top tier has faded after failing to impress in both play-off matches.
The club will remain in the Championship League for another season, needing to reorganize and prepare for a fresh promotion campaign next year.
Fountain Gate will use this time to strengthen their squad for the new season, drawing lessons from the past campaign to avoid similar struggles in future competitions.
