Yanga Khalid Aucho Likely to Exit, Vietnam Move Looms

Yanga midfielder Khalid Aucho may not be part of the club’s squad next season after contract renewal talks reportedly failed to reach an agreement.

Yanga had offered Aucho a one-year contract extension, but the midfielder is unwilling to renew for just one year, instead demanding a two-year deal.

A close associate of Aucho, who is also a journalist, revealed that Aucho may move to Vietnam, where he has received a more lucrative offer.

“After a week-long series of meetings, I can confirm, as a journalist who directly spoke to him and Yanga’s management, that Aucho will officially not continue with Yanga,”

“Aucho may head to Vietnam – there’s a top-tier club there that wants him, and I can say he won’t be in the country next season,” said Justine Kessy.

Initially, Yanga and Aucho had reached a preliminary agreement on a one-year extension, but the midfielder from Jinja may have reconsidered after being tempted by an overseas offer.

In Aucho’s position, Yanga has already signed midfielder Mohamed Doumbia and is also linked to a possible signing of CS Sfaxien midfielder Moussa Balla Conte.
