Around midnight, Yanga officially unveiled their new left-back Mohamed Hussein 'Zimbwe Jr', who joins the club from their arch-rivals, Simba.
It was only a matter of time — Yanga pulled off a strategic move on Simba by securing the signature of Zimbwe Jr while Simba was still negotiating to renew his contract.
Zimbwe Jr leaves Simba after serving the club for 11 years, during which he won all major domestic titles.
It is now official — he begins a new chapter at Yanga.
Simba, on their part, have already confirmed the signing of left-back Anthony Mligo from Namungo FC.
Mligo arrives at Msimbazi to fill the void left by Zimbwe Jr.
