The Tanzania National Team, 'Taifa Stars,' departed the country early this morning for Congo Brazzaville ahead of their 2026 World Cup qualifying match against Congo Brazzaville.
The match will be played on September 5, 2025, at the Alphonse Massemba-Débat Stadium, kicking off at 9:00 PM.
Stars are in Group E, currently in second place with 9 points from 5 matches. Morocco lead the group with 15 points, followed by Zambia in third with 6 points, tied with Niger in fourth place, while Congo Brazzaville sit at the bottom with 0 points from their 5 games.
After this match, Stars will return to Tanzania to face Niger on Tuesday, September 9, at the New Amaan Complex in Zanzibar.
