Simba striker Jonathan Sowah will not be part of the squad set to face Dodoma Jiji on Wednesday in the NBC Premier League, despite having completed his five-match suspension.
Reports from within the club indicate that the decision to leave him out of the matchday squad was made by head coach Steve Barker following repeated incidents of indiscipline.
It is understood that the striker has already returned to Dar es Salaam, and his case is expected to be presented before the club’s Disciplinary Committee for further action. If found guilty, he could face harsher penalties, including suspension.
Since taking charge of Simba, Barker has consistently emphasized the importance of discipline, making it clear that every player must adhere to the team’s code of conduct and regulations, regardless of their status within the squad.
This marks the second time Sowah has found himself in trouble over similar allegations of indiscipline.
