Simba defender Rushine de Reuck has said the warm reception and strong support he receives from Simba fans is one of the reasons that convinced him to extend his stay at the club.
Rushine yesterday signed a one-year contract extension with Simba, which will keep him at Msimbazi until the end of the 2027 season.
"I am very happy to extend my contract and continue staying here. Since the day I joined Simba, I have had a special relationship with the club’s fans."
"They welcomed me warmly and have given me great support, so this decision to extend my contract is also a way of giving back my appreciation to them," said Rushine.
Rushine, who has been entrusted with the role of Simba’s vice-captain, has enjoyed a good spell since joining the club during the last major transfer window from South African side Mamelodi Sundowns.
When he arrived, he signed a one-year loan deal that included an option to extend for a second year.
The defender had recently attracted interest from Raja CA, coached by Fadlu Davids, who played a major role in bringing him to Simba when he previously coached the Msimbazi Reds.
Simba have also extended the contract of their defensive midfielder Yusuph Kagoma, who has signed a two-year extension that will keep him at Msimbazi until 2028.
