Yanga have confirmed receiving official communication from the League Board stating that their Premier League match against Tanzania Prisons will be played on Thursday, March 12, at Jamhuri Stadium in Dodoma.
There had been confusion over the venue after Tanzania Prisons announced yesterday that they had chosen Ali Hassan Mwinyi Stadium in Tabora, with their squad even arriving in Tabora earlier today.
However, the official decision is that the match will now take place in Dodoma, meaning Tanzania Prisons will have to travel from Tabora to Dodoma for the fixture.
Yanga had not yet traveled as they were waiting for official confirmation from the League Board. The defending champions have now announced that they will depart for Dodoma tomorrow.
The match was originally scheduled to be played at Sokoine Stadium, but the venue was closed by the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) after failing to meet required standards.
