The NBC Premier League match between TRA United and Yanga, played at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha, ended in a goalless draw.
It was a match with limited attacking action, as TRA United sat deep defensively and relied on counterattacks, while Yanga, despite dominating possession for most of the game, lacked sharpness in creating clear chances.
TRA United finished the match with 10 players after Mzamiru Yassin was sent off in the 75th minute following a second yellow card for a foul on Mohamed Hussein.
In the closing stages, TRA United launched a dangerous attack, but Yanga were rescued by goalkeeper Djigui Diarra, whose save ensured they walked away with a point.
This marks Yanga’s second consecutive draw and their fourth of the season. They remain at the top of the league standings with 37 points.
